Thank you for posting the response to the Newsweek article. I read the article while waiting in a doctor's office and was saddened, but not surprised, by the blatant lies and the way that Scripture was twisted, taken out of context, or dismissed as irrelevant. I appreciate the way Mr. Mohler handled the assertions made in the article, but unfortunately, many more people will read and believe the article in Newsweek than will see his response to it!
I am the Church Planter/Pastor of ekklesia Blacksburg, a new SBC church located in Blacksburg, Virginia. I graduated from the University of Maryland and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and have been in pastoral ministry since 1997. I have a wonderful wife and three great kids and two dogs and I work at Starbuck's on the side to keep the insurance bills paid.
